| The New Paltz Central School District provides public and private education for children throughout Ulster County at the elementary and middle school levels (PK-12) as well as high school (Grades 9-12). Additional New Paltz educational institutions include the New Paltz School of Ballet, SUNY Ulster (Ulster County Community College), and State University of New York at New Paltz, featuring the SUNY School of Business and the SUNY School of Fine and Performing Arts. New Paltz is also home to the Elting Memorial Library (located on Main Street), and to numerous churches and places of worship. The New Paltz Regional Chamber of Commerce is the best resource for important local government phone numbers and addresses, and is active in organizing events to advance the civic interests of New Paltz, such as "Clean Sweep," wherein community volunteers join together to clean up the parks, sidewalks and streets of New Paltz. |
